About Kosher Square Pizza

Kosher Square Pizza was born from a partnership between Peter Grippo and David Mizrahi, bringing together two different areas of experience, a shared passion for food, and a friendship that began under unexpected circumstances. Peter and David first connected while they were both undergoing treatment for lymphoma. What began as a connection during a challenging chapter in their lives grew into a friendship—and eventually a business partnership. Today, both Peter and David are thankfully in remission, making the story behind Kosher Square Pizza especially meaningful to them. Peter Grippo brings his passion for pizza, brand identity, and years of experience perfecting his craft. Peter’s pizza gained national recognition when Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports gave it an impressive 8.9 rating during his famous One Bite pizza review—a score that places it among some of the most highly regarded pizzas reviewed by Portnoy. Peter brings that same dedication to quality, technique, and flavor to Kosher Square Pizza. David Mizrahi brings years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with extensive knowledge in developing, opening, operating, and growing successful food concepts. His expertise in restaurant operations, guest experience, catering, and kosher food service helps bring the Kosher Square vision to life every day. Together, Peter and David combine Peter’s acclaimed pizza expertise and brand vision with David’s restaurant and hospitality experience. But their partnership represents something deeper: two people brought together during one of the most challenging periods of their lives who came out the other side with a new appreciation for life, community, and the opportunity to build something meaningful together. Kosher Square Pizza is more than a neighborhood pizza shop. It’s a story of friendship, resilience, great food, and bringing people together.
